Grotte della Gurfa
The Gurfa caves are an example of Sicilian rock architecture. They consist of six rooms dug into a red sandstone cliff. They are thought to date back to 2500 BC to 1600 BC Bronze Age. The Gurfa caves are divided into two floors connected by the bell cave (thòlos), the main room with a hole at its top that allows the illumination of the cave.
